Full Moon Ritual

I have been trying to connect with the lunar cycle for quite some time now. The day I decided to go forth was coincidentally a full moon. After research through Integrative Counsel, online journals, and a few Witchcraft, Wiccan, and Hinduism YouTube videos, I was able to find my personalized ritual for the full moon. The intention of the full moon ritual is to release anything you don't want to hold any longer. This can be negative energy, certain thoughts, pent up emotions, habits, and even relationships. Below is the full moon ritual in it's entirety with its entirety.

Full Moon Preperation

Once it's night time and the full moon is present, run a bath with natural essential oils of your choice. Bathe in silence or listen to nature sounds. The objective it to cleanse yourself in nature. Don't forget to add moonwater to your bath. Moonwater is simply a cup of disilled water that has sat in the moonlight. The reason is so the water soaks up the moon's energry

Full Moon Writing Activity

  1. Write down on a piece of paper a list of what you'd like to release. Be as specific as you'd like. For example, I wrote down "Release my irrational fears."

  2. After your list is written write down reasons why you held on to these

  3. Lastly, write down what it will look like once you release them

  4. Dot or spray your page with an essential oil of your choice, I chose lavender

  5. Fold you page towards you and then turn it in a clockwise direction

  6. Rip your paper into pieces and throw away or burn if you'd like

Full Moon Meditation

Find a seat outside in the moonlight or near a window with moonlight

Cleanse your auroa with sage or holy water, I did both

Light a candle or battery one to represent the fire element

Sit and meditate (Insight timer has plenty of full moon meditations)

The process of this ritual was extremely relaxing and enjoyable. I turly had fun with the process and didn't want it to be over. I am very excited to do this again next full moon!
