Welcome

Hi there, It's Savannah also known as Zen Savannah but you already knew that. I'm here to make an online journal of my recovery while embracing my inner zen. I'm excited to see where this project leads me. I'm proud of myself and my recovery so far and I'm excited to share and reflect along the way with this medium.

My Story

My story began when I moved from my home town of Illinois to Florida in 2015. It was during that transition that I developed my first experience with anxiety. Without knowing I was experiencing anxiety I categorized my physical ailments of anxiety as real physical dangers. From there I developed what is known as health anxiety (illness anxiety). After several years being challenged on and off again it wasn't until late 2020 where I'd reaching a ground breaking moment. After being challenged with a nervous breakdown followed by depression and crippling anxiety, I decided to learn and integrate my challenges with mental health to seek out my overall zen. On a whim, I began meditation which dramatically enhanced my life. There I coined the name Zen Savannah and since that day have dedicated my life to bettering myself and helping those around me.

My Mission

My mission is to recover and truly get my life back. But more importantly, live a better life with this second chance and live positively, graciously, and filled with love and the ultimate trust of God. While doing so I want to help others in any way I can even if it's just waving with a smile. I will be posting all my resources that way I can look back at all the hard work I've done. Everything on this website is something I've read, listened, tried, and practiced for myself which has greatly helped me along my journey. Just remember how precious your life is and how anything is possible if you have an open mind and ultimetly keep going!
